Implants are the best restoration option because they are the closest to natural teeth. Until now, however, it often took months to prepare the jaw accordingly. Immediate implants offer a quick solution under certain conditions.
After a certain age, teeth become increasingly decimated. Partial dentures or complete dentures are not a full replacement, and many people suffer from this. Costly operations, a long treatment period, or financial difficulties deter many people from this very good restoration.
The reason: In order to permanently fix the three-part denture, consisting of the implant screwed into the jawbone, the post sunk into it and the crown placed on it, it was usually necessary to first build up the patient's jawbone. To do this, doctors use bone substitute materials, special bone spreading procedures or the transplantation of bone material from the iliac crest.
It can take up to 6 months or more to prepare the implant bed in this way. After that, months can pass again until, after the implant is placed, they are completely grown in with the bone.
A new method uses only a minimally invasive technique. Within one day, so-called immediate implants can be gently and painlessly inserted, which are restored with crowns and bridges on the same day. The time-consuming bone augmentation and major invasive operations are no longer necessary. This is made possible by specially angulated implants or implants with a smaller diameter.
All these advantages are not only reflected in the gentle and less invasive procedure, but also the financial outlay becomes correspondingly more attractive for excellent dental care.

The screw-shaped implant body acts as an artificial tooth root. Its shape and special surface ensure firm ingrowth into the jawbone and secure healing. As a result, the implant can be loaded like a healthy tooth.
Abutment:
The implant abutment , also called abutment, is screwed onto the ingrown implant body after the healing phase.
It acts as a connecting element between the artificial tooth root and the denture.
Superstructure:
The superstructure is the dental prosthesis that is finally attached to the implant post. This can be a crown, a bridge or a denture. Implants that support a crown can later also serve as the foundation of a prosthesis, if required.

One missing tooth

- Placement of the implant usually takes no more than 20 minutes and is performed under local anesthesia. After the implant has been placed in the jawbone, healing begins. This takes a few months; up to six months in the upper jaw and up to four months in the lower jaw.
- After the implant has healed, a temporary denture is used until the actual dental prosthesis - the dental crown - can be inserted.

Mini-Implants
- With mini-implants, an immediate, firm fit for dentures can be achieved in just one session. The use of mini-implants is for long-term stabilization of dentures.
- The mini-implants are 1.8 to 2.4 mm thin titanium screws with a ball head. These are inserted into the bone under local anesthesia. Four mini-implants are needed in the lower jaw, while 6 mini-implants are needed in the upper jaw.
- Placement of the mini-implants usually takes two to three hours - depending on the individual situation. The mini-implants in the lower jaw can be loaded immediately, while those in the upper jaw must first heal between 6 weeks and 6 months before they can be fully loaded.
- As a rule, the costs for the use of mini-implants must be borne by you.
